a)160GB IDE (Linux)
b)250GB SATA (Win XP Pro)
How do I make sure that the system asks for a selection of operating system at startup?

Note:I just bought the 250GB HDD and installed Win XP on it.

Make sure that the drive with Linux is the first bootable drive. Under the GRUB menu list, you need an entry like

title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

The (hd1,0) means "Second hard drive, first partition.
