standard Vga Video Card?

I had xpand i know at that time i had a nvdia gforce graphics/video card. so installed vista and i couldnt use aero or play anygames or they'd just freeze and i suddenly relised my Graphics Card had chagged to a standard VGA video card, huh i dony remeber that. I HAVE UPDATED THE DRIVER BUT IT SAYS I ALREADY HAVE THE LATEST VERSION so please what do i do?

Thanks for the posts but even if i try and download it, it wont let me, it says "there is no need to update the driver"

after reformatting and installation of the os, you need to reinstall the correct drivers for it. if you won't, the computer will just assign a standard or a generic driver for your vga. if your laptop was installed originally with xp, then you need to download the vista drivers directly from the laptop's website.

just to clarify, your computer will always say that the driver is the latest version because it is a generic driver and not really the exact driver that you need.
